Foreclosure pets have a friend in the California-based natural supplement products company, BVibrantNow. The health products provider has launched an initiative designed to help pets that were victims of the foreclosure crisis and the economic recession. The company has recently announced that it will be giving part of its pet supplies sales for August to no-kill shelters.
According to the owners of the company, they decided to launch the program after reading stories about a big number of pets being left at pet shelters by owners who have been evicted from their homes, and those pets that were just left abandoned in streets and vacant houses. The company owners also stated that they are aware how overcrowded most of the local shelters are and the difficulties they are facing trying to accommodate all the homeless animals that arrive at their doorsteps.
Recent reports have highlighted the fact that of the million who left their properties after they became foreclosed homes for sale, around 60% have pets. Majority of these pets are either abandoned or left at overcrowded shelters. The owners of the company believe that what they are doing will not only help these animals, but will also increase awareness among other U.S. households who have the capacity to adopt these homeless pets.
BVibrantNow has also collaborated with other organizations so that foreclosure pets in overpopulated shelters that are at risk of being euthanized will have a better chance of being allowed to live. According to the company, some shelters are forced to put down those pets that are sick or are suffering from mobility problems, primarily because they do not have the means to treat these animals.
The company reveals that sales of their pet products for August will partly pay for the medical needs of such pets by providing animal shelters with the necessary donations. The firm is encouraging no-kill shelters for animals to get in touch with their company to get free samples of pet products and research documents that can help them understand better what the animal products are for. Customers interested in helping foreclosure pets are also encouraged by the company to get in touch.
